AI tour guide & trip planner · any city

An AI tour guide & trip planner
for any city in the world.

TourLore is an AI tour guide and trip planner app that writes a self-guided audio walking tour for any city, tuned to you and narrated in any of 30 languages. Tell it what you love once, then just name a city — it plans your itinerary and narrates each stop in a voice you'd actually listen to. Curious about something on the way? Ask by voice or text. Works offline once the tour is downloaded.

How it works

How TourLore builds your audio walking tour

From a sentence to a tour in your ear.

  1. Step 01

    Name a city.

TourLore already knows your taste from setup — just say where you're going and how long you've got. Want something specific this time? Add it: “old bookshops and pastry.” The guide suggests places as you chat; add the ones you like, and TourLore builds the route.

  2. Step 02

    TourLore writes the route.

Real stops, real narration, drawn from global location data and the model's own knowledge. Hours, ticket info, and best-time-to-visit shown up front so nothing surprises you on the day.

  3. Step 03

Listen as you walk. Ask as you go.

Narration plays in the background, with lock-screen controls. Curious about a building? Ask by voice or text, or add a photo — the answer appears in the chat, and your tour waits right where you paused it.

Features

What the TourLore app does

Designed for the way you actually explore a city.

Every choice is built around one thing: keeping you looking up, not down at a phone.

Tours tuned to what you love

TourLore reads your interests, pace, walking tolerance, and budget, and writes for you, not for the city: a pastry crawl and a brutalist-architecture walk through the same city share nothing but the streets. It fits the stops to the time you have, and tells you when a plan won't fit.

A voice you'd actually listen to, in 30 languages

TourLore narrates every stop like a friend who happens to know the place — not Wikipedia read by a robot. Pick a female or male narrator in any of TourLore's 30 languages. Plays in the background, with lock-screen controls, 15-second skips, and 0.75× to 2× speed.

Works offline once it's downloaded

TourLore tours work offline once you save them: the narration audio for every stop, the map for the route area, and the stop notes download to your phone. Tunnels, basements, planes, roaming — the tour plays through. Generating a tour still needs a connection.

Ask the guide anything, with a photo

TourLore's guide takes questions mid-walk. Snap the building you're standing in front of, the painting on the wall, or your half-eaten pastry, and ask by voice or text. The answer appears in the chat, with your tour and your tastes in mind.

Multi-day itineraries that don't repeat

TourLore plans multi-day trips too. Three days in Rome shouldn't show you the same square three times, so it splits the trip by neighborhood: each day is its own walk and no place appears twice. Edit any day on its own.

It gets to know you over time

TourLore learns from every tour: stops you rate “Loved this” or “Not my thing”, stops you swap out or remove, the stops you actually walk to, the places you add while planning. Each tour tunes the next one. Open your preferences any time to see what TourLore thinks you like — and correct it.

Any city

Self-guided walking tours for any city or town

Any city, any town. Yours included.

TourLore doesn't ship a hand-curated catalog. It writes the tour from scratch — pulling from Google Places, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata and Wikipedia, plus what the model knows about the place — and tunes it to you.

It works just as well at home. Point it at your own neighborhood and hear the history of streets you've walked past for years.

Inside a stop

What every stop in a TourLore tour shows

Every stop carries its own context.

Not just “here's a thing” — what time it opens, whether a ticket's needed and roughly what it costs, when's a good time to actually be there, and how to get to the next stop in the maps app you already use.

  • Open · closing soon · closed

Today's hours up front, with a warning if the stop closes before you'd arrive. Opening hours can be out of date, so TourLore reminds you to verify before you go.

  • Ticket · cost

Whether you need to book ahead, roughly what it costs, and a link out to the official booking page when we have one. TourLore never sells the ticket.

  • Best time to visit

Generated guidance — “go at sunset for the view,” “very crowded between 11am and 2pm,” “closed Mondays” — so the route is tuned for the hour you're actually walking it.

  • Estimated time

Roughly how long to plan for here. TourLore counts it into the tour's timing, along with the walk to the next stop.

  • Go There

Hands you off to Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Citymapper with the destination pre-filled. TourLore doesn't pretend to be a turn-by-turn app — those already are.

  • Done · skip · swap

Mark a stop done, or ask TourLore to swap it for something similar or drop it. The guide proposes the change, and the rest of the route adjusts once you apply it.

FAQ

Questions about TourLore

Common questions, answered.

Pick a city and how long you've got. TourLore already knows your taste — a quick setup captures your interests, and it keeps learning as you use it. The guide suggests places, you add the ones you like, and TourLore orders them into a walking route, writes a narration for each stop, and plays it as you walk. Ask follow-up questions in the chat, by voice or text, at any stop.

Yes — TourLore plans a personalized itinerary for your time in a city, then guides you through it stop by stop. Unlike trip planners built around flights and hotels, it focuses on what to actually do on the ground: the route, the story at each stop, and answering your questions as you walk.

Yes. TourLore is a self-guided audio walking tour app: no group, no fixed start time. It writes the tour for you, narrates each stop through your headphones, and hands directions off to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Citymapper. You walk at your own pace and pause the narration whenever you like.

Yes. TourLore is an AI tour guide: it narrates each stop in a natural voice, and you can ask it about anything you see, by voice or text, with a photo if that helps. The answer appears in the chat, shaped by your tour and your interests.

Anywhere in the world — city, town, neighborhood. TourLore doesn't ship a hand-curated catalog — it writes the tour from scratch, using global location data (Google Places, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, Wikipedia) plus the model's own knowledge of the place, and tunes it to you. Quality varies between very dense and very small places: in a small town the tour may be two or three good stops rather than a padded list.

Once a tour is generated, the audio, the map for the tour area, and the stop notes are downloaded onto your phone. You can walk the whole route without a connection — useful in tunnels, basements, on planes, and when you're roaming abroad. Tour generation itself still needs a connection.

Yes. Ask the guide, by voice or text, to skip a stop, add one, swap one for something similar, or shorten the route. It proposes the change, you tap Apply, and the stops you've already walked stay as they are.

Yes. TourLore can plan a multi-day trip that groups places by neighborhood, so each day is one walkable route and no place appears twice. Each day can be edited on its own.

Yes. Snap a photo of the building you're standing in front of, or the painting on the wall, and ask by voice or text. TourLore answers in the chat, mid-walk. The photo is used to answer that question and isn't saved to your account.

TourLore launches in 30 languages — the whole tour, narration included, in your language. That makes it useful when you're traveling somewhere you don't speak the local language, or exploring your own city at home.

Each stop is written from public map and encyclopedia data plus what the model knows about the place. AI can still get things wrong — a date, a detail, opening hours that changed — so check hours, prices and access before you go; stops near closing time carry a “verify before you go” hint. If you spot a mistake, tell us through Contact support in the app's settings.

A group tour follows one route and one script for everyone in it. A guidebook talks to every reader the same way. TourLore writes the tour for the person walking — your interests, your pace, your time budget — and lets you steer it with questions as you go. It also remembers what you liked last city, so the next tour starts smarter.
